Torekov is a small village, originally
a fishing village, situated on the outer end of the
peninsula of Bjäre which has a wide variety of
landscapes with rolling valleys and impressive cliffs
reaching far into the sea by Hovs Hallar. Spring begins
early in this part of Sweden, and this is when Bjäre
turns into an Eldorado for hikers, ardent golfers and
cycling fans. Warm evenings and pleasant water temperatures
can be enjoyed until the end of August, but cold sea
bathing occurs frequently all year around. Concerts,
exhibitions, golf and tennis will also keep you busy
throughout the year. Autumn and spring is ideal for
extensive trips in the area. Closeby is as many as 7
golf courses, whose websites one can find under "contacts"
at this website. Rather unique for Sweden, these golf
courses are playable all year around, particularly so
Torekov Golfklubb.
